I just got the info about this blog today at work...it will take me a while to read everything, but I have read several days' entries...WOW! What an experience you guys are having! My heart is so pricked for the babies (and you, too, of course!) I will be praying for you! "Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
Thanks for posting these, Deanna!!!!!!!! And I totally agree about the second picture - Amy is just gorgeous!!! and that picture of her and little Steve is ADORABLE!!!!! It looks like he is just growing so fast!!! and Amy seriously looks truly Ugandan in that picture, too!!! Dare I ask how long that took do get done...??? Carly got her hair done once and it was like 4 hours, but her hair is so thin and MUCH shorter. I love the pictures!!!!
Oh my word, Amy!!!! You look SO GREAT with the hair!!! I love it!!! I am rolling on the floor laughing at the thought of my hair in that style....let's just say I'd rather NOT have that done to me : ) But tell Leah she is perfectly free to do that...just please document ; ) Can't wait to see you in a few weeks....(woohoo!!) ~Rachel
whoa!! amos is a true ugandan now...joint citizenship here we come!!! i agree with rae though, my hair would look strange with a hairdo like yours, but don't worry, your hair doesn't look strange at all.
Cute! I really like it! I was wondering, along with Jami- dare I ask how long it took to braid all your hair?! It looks super convenient too-- the dealing with it, anyway! Lan.. you need to be ambitious and do it too! Just sayin' :) Love to you all!
My husband and I agree... HANDS DOWN best looking braids on a "mzungu" we've EVER seen!! It helps that you started with a gorgeous mane anyway, but you know the Lord has blessed you with some outer beauty when you can wear that look sooo well. You are the real deal girl, Uganda HAIR loves you!!!
If You say go, we will go If You say wait, we will wait If You say step out on the water and they say it can't be done We'll fix our eyes on You and we will come
Your ways are higher than our ways And the plans that You have laid are good and true If You call us to the fire, You will not withdraw Your hand We'll gaze into the flames and look for You
